"We'll just write a check for the entire Argentina portion to take any question out,"says Sanford.

Sanford has agreed to pay thousands of dollars in tax-payer money. Cash that paid for a June 2008 trade and investment trip to Brazil and Argentina where he mixed business with pleasure.

"We were already in Argentina, we were in Brazil, in Cordova and with all due respect, I've done my fair share of growing up here in South Carolina. I really didn't want to hunt for five days,"says Sanford.

Commerce officials say while hunting in Argentina, Sanford asked for additional meetings tied to economic development.

"I said look, while we're there, book another place for me to go,"says Sanford.

Sanford's spokesperson Joel Sawyer says "such requests were routine". But it was during a leg of the trip to Buenos Aries that Sanford admits to a rendeavous. Not with his wife Jenny, But his Argentinian mistress Maria Chapur, a television news reporter.

"It's all construed badly. I got it. It was my mistake in judgement from the standpoint of in any way mixing the two,"says Sanford.

News 19 obtained documents showing Sanford's flight itinerary which began at Columbia Metro Airport. Eventually ending up in Buenos Aries. A trip that cost nearly $9,000.

And no may eventually cost the Governor his job because he says he's thinking about resigning.
