
Chester County (WLTX) -- Investigators with the South Carolina Highway Patrol say a 50-year-old Chester man has died after being struck by a vehicle Sunday morning. Highway Patrol officials say the accident happened at about 3:20 a.m. Sunday on Ashford Road, outside of Chester. Investigators say a 1997 Buick driven by 29-year-old John Holley struck and killed Fredrick Leroy Robinson on Chester as the deceased crossed the roadway in front of the moving vehicle. Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene. Holley, who was wearing a seatbelt was not injured. No charges have yet been filed in the incident.
