Columbia (WLTX) -- The University of South Carolina has a new head athletic trainer for their football prgram.
Clint Haggard has experience in the SEC. He spent two seasons at the University of Alabama. He comes to USC from Rice University.
"I'm excited to get back in the SEC and closer to home," said Haggard, who grew up in Ila, Georgia, just north of Athens. "I'm thankful for the opportunity and look forward to helping continue the great tradition of health care for the student-athletes at South Carolina."
Haggard is certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association and officially starts July 27.
