West Columbia (WLTX) - West Columbia and Cayce police are investigating the discovery of a woman's body on Lee Street.
The woman was found Sunday morning in an area behind an abandoned home on the street.
A cause of death has not been determined, but it has been called suspicious.
The woman has not been identified, but authorities say she is in her mid-40s.
The State Law Enforcement Division is assisting. Officials say they will be processing the scene for the next several hours, and will release more information at that time.
