Richland County (WLTX) - Richland County deputies have arrested a suspect they say shot and killed a man Monday night.
Tony Ray Watson, 43, has been charged with murder.
Investigators say at 8:15 p.m., they got a call of a shooting at a home on Trotter Road. When they arrived, they found the male victim dead.
Officers say Watson and the victim had a verbal fight that turned physical.
According to officers, Watson then went out to his car, and the victim began moving his car so Watson could leave. However, investigators say Watson came up to the victim as he got out of his car and shot him multiple times.
Investigators say a woman at the home and Waston lived at the location together; however the woman and the victim were going through a seperation.
Watson is currently being held at the Richland County Detention Center.
Coroner Gary Watts is still withholding the name of the victim as he is trying to locate the family.
