Sumter, SC (WLTX) -- Police are searching for a man and woman they say entered a 69-year-old Dalzell woman's vehicle at a dollar store, made her drive to an unknown location and robbed her of $2500 cash.

Investigators with the Sumter Police Department say a man in his 50s and a wigged woman in her 40s or 50s let themselves into the victim's car that was parked at the Dollar General on Broad Street at about 2:30 Wednesday afternoon.

Officers say one of the suspects pulled out a small pistol and told the victim to drive to an unknown location. After the victim parked her car, the suspects took the cash and ran away.

The man was described as being about 5-foot-8 and weighing about 170 pounds, while the woman was said to be about 5-foot-6 in height and weighing about 150 pounds.

If you can help officers find the suspects, you are asked to call CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC or text a tip to "CRIMES" beginning with the term "TIPSC."
