
Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia police are searching for a suspect they say carjacked a woman at a gas station along Garners Ferry Road.
The incident took place Friday, November 13 around 7:30 a.m. at the Sunoco gas station at 7232 Garners Ferry Road.
According to officers, 19-year-old Solomon Zacheriah Smith approached a woman while she was sitting in her car in the store's parking lot.
Officers say the suspect opened the driver's door of the car and told the victim that if she didn't get out of the car, he would shoot her. The woman got out of the car, and the man took the vehicle.
Smith is said to be 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. He's clean-shaven and has cornrows in his hair.
The vehicle he took is a silver 2005 Ford Taurus with a SC tag of FHW 733.
