Cary, NC (WLTX) -- Police in North Carolina are searching for a 36-year-old fugitive they say may be responsible for a June 2007 shooting that left one woman for dead.
Investigators with the Charlotte Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Cary Police Department are searching for Phillip Thomas Williams. They say they will charge Williams, also known as "Scoob," with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution on attempted murder charges.
According to detectives, Williams shot a woman in the stomach as she attempted to make a deposit at an ATM on Maynard Road in Cary in June 2007. Williams left in a burgundy Buick with a New York license plate with two other men, witnesses told police. Those men have each been arrested, officers say.
If you can help find Williams, you are asked to provide any information to the Charlotte Division of the FBI at 704-377-9200.
