
Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- According to the Richland County coroner, a 17-year-old male was killed in an early Tuesday morning shooting in Columbia.
Coroner Gary Watts said Tavarus Tucker died from complications of multiple gunshot wounds.
Investigators with the Columbia Police Department say they responded to 1117 Dorrah Street at 12:20 a.m. after hearing several shots fired. Upon arrival, the police found a 17-year-old male between two apartments who had been shot a number of times. Tucker was transported to Palmetto Health Richland, but died about an hour after arrival.
Authorities say they are searching for a man between 5'7"-5'9" and between 150-180 pounds. They say he was last seen wearing camouflage overalls.
