Lee's Review: Old Dogs

(WLTX) - Despite their polar opposite personalities, Dan and Charlie have been best friends and business partners for over thirty years.  Charlie is a fun-loving, lifelong bachelor - while Dan longs for domestic bliss from "the one that got away."

Coincidentally, the very object of Dan's affection re-enters his his life after a seven-year hiatus with a couple of seven-year-old surprises!  It turns out, she's being forced to spend a month away from everyone (in a very "big house") and has no one to care for her children.  So, why not their long lost Dad?

Unfortunately, the timing couldn't be worse.  Dan and Charlie are about to score the biggest deal of their lives.  How can they possibly juggle a couple of seven-year-olds at the same time?!
Suddenly, everyone on the street sees these two as "life partners" and compliments them on their "grandchildren."  John Travolta also suffers some serious facial ticks that almost keep you from noticing his bad hairpiece.  Add plenty of poop humor and shots to the groin...and you have "Old Dogs."
For Travolta, this was obviously a family affair.  His wife and daughter co-star in the film, while his recently deceased son, Jett, shares the movie's dedication with Bernie Mac.  I'm not sure what Robin Williams' excuse is.
Whatever the case, Turkey Day weekend couldn't have been a more appropriate release date.  Go see something else.
