Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A poll by Rasmussen Reports finds that State Senator Vincent Sheheen is leading among the Democratic candidates for governor.

The poll was taken May 20 of 404 likely Democratic primary voters.

The poll has Sheheen with 30 percent support, Education Superintendent Jim Rex with 22 percent, and State Senator Robert Ford with 4 percent.

Twelve percent would prefer some other candidate in the race, and another 32 percent said they were undecided.

In a Rasmussen poll from March, Sheheen and Rex were tied at 16 percent, and Ford had 12 percent. Undecided were at 37 percent.

The poll has a margin of error of +/- 5 percent. Related link: More on the Rasmussen Poll
