Batesburg-Leesville, SC (WLTX) - Two Batesburg-Leesville women say their local post office has made a huge error.

Earlier this week, Anne Clarkson said she opened a receipt letting her know her package had been shipped. However, it is what was on the other side of the paper that made her rush in to tell her housemate Sam Ruskin.

"I looked at it and said, 'There's nothing unusual here. It looks like it's supposed to.' Then I notice from the light shining through there was something on the back, so I turned it over and I thought 'Oh, no!'," said Ruskin.

What Ruskin saw is what appears to be an old time-sheet for post office employees complete with names and their social security numbers.

"I said to her 'did you see this has social security numbers on this' and she says 'yeah, that's why I told you it was weird'," said Ruskin.

The timecard is dated 2004. News 19 called the Batesburg-Leesville Post Office and a woman there told us it must have been an accident. They are in the process of using recycled paper.

Clarkson and Ruskin think they are not the only ones who were delivered classified information.

"I'm absolutely sure this is not an isolated thing because it's not logical it would be isolated," said Ruskin.

Clarkson knows the seriousness of identity theft because she has been a victim.

"I went in about a year ago to buy a car and they told me I had a house and car in Florida. I've never lived in Florida," said Clarkson.

News 19 also contacted Columbia's Post Office. They connected us to the Batesburg-Leesville Post Office Manager. She asked us to email her a copy of the timecard Clarkson and Ruskin received. We sent the email immediately Friday afternoon, and have yet to get a response.
