Suspect in Mariah Woods' Death Quiet in Brief First Court Appearance

Bond has been set for the man charged with hiding the body of his girlfriend's missing toddler.

ONSLOW COUNTY, NC - Earl Kimrey appeared in court Monday morning for the first time since being charged in connection with the death of 3-year-old Mariah Woods.

The appearance at an Onslow County courtroom lasted less than three minutes and the 32-year-old Kimrey said very little. 

The Judge explained Kimrey's charges and his rights. Kimrey's charges include: 

  • Concealing of Death 
  • Obstruction of Justice,
  • 2nd Degree Burglary
  • Felony Larceny
  • And Possession of Stolen Property

Arrest Warrants Related to Death, Disappearance of Mariah Woods 

Kimrey's bond remains at $1,010,000. Kimrey had no questions for the judge. His next court date is scheduled for Dec. 18.

Woods' body was believed to be found on Saturday in a creek in Pender County.
