Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Tags for grocery stores, tags for drug stores, tags for health clubs, pet stores, and more. It seems like every single retailer is doing a loyalty rewards program now, and giving you a tag for your key ring to go along with it.
How would you like to get rid of them all - and get the added benefit of extra coupons - extra rewards - extra discounts not available to you with those tags on your keyring?
The app of the day will do all of that for you. How many tags do you have on your key ring now? I have six. Health club- three grocery stores, drugs store, and pet store. All the loyalty rewards are great - gas discounts, free stuff, discounts off total price, but I have a lot of tags.
The Key Ring app is free - available for iPhones and Android phones, and is easy to sign up & use.
When it's installed you scan the bar-code on the back of your tag, search for the name of the business, and once you find it move on to scan another tag. Don't forget those credit card sized loyalty cards as well, be sure to add those too.
Once you've scanned all your cards the app shows you a list of all of 'em. The key ring app shows you extra discounts the company has set up - and some are exclusive to people who use this app.
Another feature inside the app is the Join Programs section - this will scan your location - then tell you what businesses close to you have loyalty or rewards programs. You can join them right inside the app, so there's no more filling out forms and no more key tags.
The next time you're out running errands, just tap the app, select 'cards,' choose the one you need, and click the bar-code for the cash register to scan.
Make sure you sign up when the app asks you to, because then all your cards are saved, and if you need to replace your phone or do an upgrade, you just re-install the app you'll have all your cards immediately.
