Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- All this week News 19's Social Media Manager Derry London has lined up special travel focused apps for The App Of The Day to keep the family entertained, to keep you organized, and to keep your summer fun.

Summertime is about being outside - spending time with the family at the beach or the park, camping, fishing, playing games and more.

My first app for you is Oh, Ranger! ParkFinder. Free for the iPhone and Android, it's your virtual guide to the outdoors.

You can locate a park near you, or filter it based upon what you're looking to do: fishing, tennis or volleyball, hiking, off-roading and more. You get the history behind the spot you choose, just how large the park is, and a full map. You can also have it give you turn by turn directions to get where you wanna go.

My final app this week is definitely a keeper, but I want to preface this one by saying they're really on top of it.

At the beginning of this week I wanted to do a review of it, but they didn't have South Carolina's beaches included in the app, so I Tweeted about that.

They responded to my Tweet, and now we can use the Swim Guide app for a large number of South Carolina beaches, stretching from Isle of Palms down to Seabrook Island south of Kiawah.

Pull up the map inside the app and it will show you all the public beaches near you on the coast, so you can discover new spots, check water quality, and more. Plus when you visit Florida, or other parts of the country, open up the app to get your beach on.So load up Oh, Ranger! ParkFinder for fun inland, and get the Swim Guide app for beach fun!
