Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- No one likes dieting, plain and simple. But there is a way to make it a little easier to keep track of those calories.
There's an app that's been called "The best calorie counter on the market," "A life-saver," and "Simple to use."
Today's App of The Day is from MyFitnessPal.
I know it's never a welcome subject, but if you're dieting, planning to diet, or thinking about planning to diet you should check out this app.
The calorie counter and diet tracker from MyFitnessPal.com has hundreds of thousands of positive reviews from users world wide, along with tons of media outlets giving it rave reviews.
It was designed to be easy to use.
The first step is keeping a food diary: enter in what you ate & how much in each meal and it will track all the nutritional information for you.
Plus with over a million different food items included, it'll be easy for you to keep track of everything in your diet.
It lets you track over 350 exercises, reach out and connect with friends for moral support, and it works off-line too so you don't have to be on the internet.
Another feature built into the MyFitnessPal app is a recipe calculator - you can enter your own recipes and it'll calculate their nutritional contents. Set favorites for easy entry, and generate reports to track your own progress, at your own pace.
The best thing is that the My Fitness Pal app is free, and they've developed one to work on every mobile device: Android, iPhone, Blackberry, iPad, and even the Windows phone.
