Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- In an effort to support their customers during South Carolina home football games, AT&T and Verizon have both deployed a temporary enhanced antenna in and around the stadium.

The mobile "cell on wheels" - referred to as a "COW" from AT&T carries a five beam "multi-beam antenna," and will improve mobile data coverage during the games.

The "COW" deployed by Verizon Wireless will provide their customers with an additional 13 data channels to handle the increase in calls and data transmissions during the games.

AT&T states that their antenna will provide up to five times as much data capacity than the traditional single antenna.

Verizon's "COW" has with it a 75 foot tall antenna, that enhances 3G and 4G LTE network coverage on location.

If you're one of their customers, keep an eye out for the "COW," and thank the engineers there tending the "COW."
