Two Arrested for Storage Building Burglary

Lexington County, SC (WLTX) --- Lexington County Sheriff's Department arrested two men on Thursday in relation to burglary of a storage building.

Deputies say that Darryl Jerome Hill, 43, and Jerry Myer Hill, 68, broke into a storage facility off of Peachland Road in Gilbert on Thursday. They stole four metal pig feeders, one motorized land tiller, one steel tractor bumper and one commercial dishwasher.

Darryl and Jerry, father and son, were arrested on warrants of third degree burglary.

They were each released from Lexington County Detention Center on Friday after each posting $15,000 bond.

Authorities say that around 1 p.m. on Thursday, the two men unlawfully entered the storage building across the street from a home on Peachland Road.

Deputies responded to a call for help from the property owner concerning suspicious activity near the facility. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a black and gray 1995 Ford F-150 pickup truck that was driving on a driveway that leads from the storage building to Peachland Road. The Hills were riding in that pickup truck.
