Columbia, SC (WLTX) - The Riverbanks Zoo is offering free admission on Father's Day to dads and the children of some of our fighting men and women.
The zoo is partnering with Operation Military Kids to give the children of deployed military personnel, children who've had a parent return from deployment within the last year, and all dads free admission.
For children to get in free, families must provide a copy of the parent's deployment orders.
Staff from Operation Military Kids will have a booth set up inside the zoo entrance with information about the organization and support programs for families.
New York Life Insurance Company also will be there issuing free child identification cards. The IDs feature a child's photo, fingerprints, contact information, and other pertinent information.
