Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- The big-on-live-music restaurant and bar in theVista, The Tin Roof, is bringing in one country music star sure to set the "summer on fire."
Tuesday, August 21st, Dierks Bentley is set to play their outdoor stage.
"This is basically the ,'Welcome Back University of South Carolina' concert," said general manager John Griffin.
The tour begins at The University of Georgia (8/20) and continues to The University of South Carolina (8/21) and culminates in The Grove at The University of Mississippi (8/22).
"The key is when these big name acts come and they see how cool it is to play in Columbia their management teams talk to each other and more shows keep coming," said Griffin. "So it is essential that they see how much the city is willing to get behind it."

Griffin says he's excited to get such a big name to play who normally plays bigger venues, "There are 2900 tickets available and Dierks sells out shows at 15,000."
