Sumter, SC (WLTX) - More economic development is coming to Sumter County, as Gov. Nikki Haley announced Friday Au'Some Candy Company will call Sumter its new home.

The China based opened their first North American factory in Sumter. For Nathaniel Wilson Sr., it's a familiar place.

"Started working in receiving and unloading the machinery and some of the trucks I did that for quite a while for about 18 years when it was formally Bosch Plant, it is a blessing to be back out here again." said Wilson.

At the same place he lost his job, he found a new one.

"Thrilled to death. I had no idea I would get this opportunity again and I am going to take advantage of it."

Governor Nikki Haley says the real winner from this deal is the people in the Sumter community.

"When they get a company like Au'Some to come in, that believes in taking care of the people that take care of them, that understand what it means to have a good quality product, this is a life long relationship that we are going to have as we move forward," said Haley.

Wilson says he is known for being good at a lot of things.

"I work in the kitchen, I work in shipping and receiving, I work in maitenance, like my supervisor says they call me the jack of all trades," said Wilson.

The company plans to hire 120 workers in the Midlands.

"Its just a blessing to be apart of Au'Some Candy."
