Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Saturday was a big night for South Carolina republicans as they hosted one of their biggest fundraising events of the year. The annual Silver Elephant dinner took place at the State Fair Grounds.

Many well know republicans were on hand for the event including Governor Nikki Haley, Senator Lindsey Graham, Senator Jim DeMint, Congressman Joe Wilson and GOP Chairman Chad Connelly.

The keynote speaker was Florida Senator Marco Rubio, whose name has been mentioned as a possible running mate to the GOP nominee in the 2012 presidential elections.
