Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A trash can led to a multiple vehicle accident that sent two people to the hospital.
The collision took place during rush hour traffic Monday morning on Interstate 126 West on the bridge.
Police say the chain reaction began when a car stopped because of a trash can in the road. A second car rear-ended the first vehicle, a third car rear-ended the second, and a fourth vehicle hit the third, causing that car to flip.
Two people were taken to the hospital, one with minor injuries, and another who needed treatment from the trauma center.
