Columbia, SC (WLTX) - The first "Columbia vs. Columbia" SEC battle will be broadcast on CBS/WLTX.
CBS announced Monday that USC's September 22 game against Missouri will be broadcast as part of the network's CBS College Football coverage.
The game, which will be played at Williams-Brice Stadium, is the first time these two teams have met as SEC rivals.
The last time the Gamecocks played these Tigers was in the 2005 Independence Bowl at the end of Coach Steve Spurrier's first season at Carolina.
USC would like to erase the memories of that game, where they squandered a 28-0 lead, ultimately losing 38-31.
Missouri lost its first ever SEC game this past Saturday in a 41-20 setback against Georgia.
Kickoff for the game is set for 3:30 p.m.
