Camden, SC (WLTX) - A new slogan adopted by the City of Camden, accompanied by a new app, are energizing the city and its downtown economy.

"It's a good thing ya know, support," said Ellen Branham who owns Ellie's Attic in downtown Camden.  "They have a vision that they're going to have to keep things fresh and new and change things up a little bit."

Branham has been in business for two years and says the slogan and emphais on downtown shopping can only help keep her there.

"When you look at our equine industry and our community as a whole, with the arts and just the many activities we have going on, 'grab life' seems to be what we want to do," said Camden Mayor Jeffrey Graham.  

The city's app can be downloaded on droid and iphone systems by searching 'Camden'.

"Our businesses are online now even if they didn't have an online presence before," said Graham.  "When you look at the other businesses around and the other markets that are around us, they're trying to get out there and let folks see what's going on in the community."
