West Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Federal workplace safety investigators will look into the death of an employee at a West Columbia plant.

The South Carolina offices of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) said Friday their staff would go to the Otis Spunkmeyer bakery.

On Wednesday, 47-year-old Susan C. Henley of Columbia died at the plant. The Lexington County Coroner says she had entered the loading dock to unload a truck, and she was found beneath the loading dock plate. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death was ruled accidental.

OSHA officials say they will look for any OSHA violations that may have contributed to the incident. Investigations generally take six to eight weeks
