Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- It was a big night Saturday for the Columbia Police Department.
Columbia Police Officer Emmanuel DeJesus and Lexington County Sheriff's Deputy Patrick Hanko battled it out in the Metro Madness Ring at the Township Auditorium for a chance to win money for bullet proof vests for their departments.
After three rounds, it came down to the judge's decision. Officer DeJesus came out on top.
With all the money raised from the event, the Palmetto Boxing Association was able to provide CPD with three bullet proof vests and the Lexington Sheriff's Department didn't go home empty handed - they will be getting two vests.
