Branchville, SC (WLTX)-- In Branchville the 44th annual Raylrode Daze Festival kicked off Friday.
The small Orangeburg county town is home to the the oldest railroad junction in the world and it was the site of the first successful scheduled steam engine railroad service in 1830.
The festival that began in 1969 celebrates the towns railroad history and lasts all weekend long.
