Calhoun County, SC (WLTX) -- Investigators say they now believe a soldier reported missing is now out of the state. 26-year-old Robert Larson's wife says she last saw him on Saturday. According to Calhoun County Sheriff Thomas Summers, investigators have not seen any evidence that would suggest foul play and they are following leads that suggest that Larson could be out of the state.
Calhoun County deputies, SLED and other agencies have been searching for Larson for the past five days.
Larson has completed several overseas tours including Iraq and Afghanistan and is a Purple Heart recipient. According to the website Guardian of Valor, Larson suffers from a traumatic brain injury he sustained while deployed in Iraq in 2005.
