Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- After last night's loss 21-23 against LSU, the Gamecocks slid in both national polls.

South Carolina fell from third to eighth in the USA Today Coaches' Poll. The Gamecocks are now ranked ninth in the AP Poll. They are still in position to contend for the SEC Eastern division title when they take on fourth ranked Florida next Saturday in Gainesville.

ESPN's College Game Day will be heading to "The Swamp" for a record 35th time.
