Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Today the Shandon Baptist Church in Forest Acres is hosting a Senior Services Expo today from 9am - 1pm.
Located at 5250 Forest Drive, the Shandon Baptist Church says they'll have 25 exhibitors today with information on Alzheimer's, senior legal issues, Medicare, Personal Safety, Veterans Affairs, and more. Also during the event free Diabetes Screening and Prostate Cancer Screenings will be available.
Their goal is to help area seniors get information and discover the resources available to them, and to provide caregivers of older adults valuable resources and information in making them more effective caregivers.
The Senior Services Community Expo is a collaborative effort of the Senior Adult Ministry of Shandon Baptist Church, along with the 'Lt. Governors Office on Aging, Medical Services of America, and South Carolina Assistive Technology Program.
