Greenville, SC (AP/WHNS) -- A homeless man living in Greenville has won $200,000 from the state lottery.
The owner of Simons Liquors says the winner is a construction worker who had fallen on hard times.
Lottery officials say he bought a $10 Color of Money scratch-off ticket that turned out to be a winner. The odds of winning the prize: 1 in 440,000.
As of Thursday, the man was living in a rescue mission and needed to ask his brother to drive him to Columbia to claim his winnings.
Simons Liquors will also get $2,000 for selling the winning ticket.
