Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Gas prices in South Carolina saw their steepest one-week drop in four years, AAA Carolinas reports.
The group says a gallon of gas is currently $3.36, down 12 cents from a week ago.
The last time there was a drop that quickly was in late November-early December of 2008.
Overall, gas prices have dropped 27 cents in the state since September 14th; however, the average price is still 11 cents more than at this time last year.
AAA says the drop in gas prices occurred because of a decline in crude oil prices and worries about a possible weakening of the U.S. economy.
