Police: Woman Stabbed Husband in Neck

Sumter, SC (WLTX) - Sumter police have charged a woman they say stabbed her husband in the neck with a knife.

Brittany Elaine Odom, 22, was booked at the Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center.

Officers say back on October 23, the victim came into Tuomey Hospital's emergency room with a neck wound. The man told them that he was stabbed by a man with a kitchen knife.

Investigators, though, began interviewing the man's family, including his wife Brittany, and got a different story. An incident report states Odom told police the two had gotten into a fight and he had hit her. The officers reported seeing bruising on the woman.

Police concluded that at some point during the argument, she stabbed her husband.
