Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A teenager has been arrested in connection with a homicide investigation in Columbia.
Austin Jamal Murray, 17, has been charged with murder and carjacking, Columbia Police Chief Randy Scott said.
Columbia Police department investigators believe that Murray was involved in the shooting death of a man who was found lying injured in the roadway at the 3800 block of North Main street on September 16, 2012.
The victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Murray was arrested Thursday evening.
Investigators are also continuing to search for a 1996 white 4-door Mazda Protege that was seen on surveillance video at the time of the incident.
The rear tail lights, including the brake lights, may be damaged or not working properly and it is believed that the car did not have a tag at the time of the murder.
