Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia police are investigating three separate reports of robberies in southeast Columbia Thursday night that took place within two miles of each other.
CPD says the crimes began around 7:30 p.m., and involved three businesses: the Dollar General on South Beltline Boulevard, the Hardee's on Rosewood Drive, and the Shell Gas station on Garners Ferry Road.
Police say 18 year old Cedric Robinson and 18 year old Isaac Watson were arrested in connection with the attempted robbery of the Shell gas station on Garners Ferry Road. According to investigators, the men were in a car and both fled in different directions, and officers say one of them was carrying a stolen gun. They have been charged with failure to stop on police command.
The Hardee's and the Dollar General both had an undisclosed amount of money taken. Police are still looking for the person responsible for those robberies.
