PIEDMONT, S.C. (AP) - Two people have been found dead in a fire in Piedmont.
Fire crews were called to the home around 12:15 a.m. Thursday.
Greenville County Deputy Coroner Tony Segars says the man and woman appeared to be about 70 years old. Their names have not been released.
South Greenville Fire Chief Ken Taylor says flames were shooting more than 20 feet in the air when firefighters arrived. Taylor says the victims were found upstairs.
Investigators are trying to determine how the fire started.
