Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia police evacuated a child daycare Thursday morning after a man make threats against the center.

Officers say the evacuation is at Cooper's Child Development Center on 34 Samson Circle.

According to police, a man called in to say he had an explosive device, and that he was going to harm a worker, her car and the children inside of the daycare.

In response, police moved the children to a safe location as a precaution. No child has been harmed.

The daycare center is in the process of notifying parents and caregivers. They will have the option of picking up their children.

Officers are working to locate this suspect.
