Orangeburg, SC (WLTX) - Orangeburg County deputies have arrested a man they say sexually assaulted a woman last weekend.

20-year-old Dietrich Tremayne Funchess is in custody.

Orangeburg Sheriff Leroy Ravenell says early Saturday morning  a woman was walking in the area of Goff and Coleman Streets. Investigators say Funchess pulled up beside her and asked her if she needed a ride. Officers say he then pulled out a gun, and the victim got into the car.

Investigators say he then sexually assaulted the victim.
