Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- The State House will be a little less active this week with the House of Representatives on furlough.
Greg Foster, Deputy Chief of Staff for Speaker of the House Bobby Harrell House, say members will also take furloughs the week before and after Easter as well, following a pattern set in the last few years.
He says the move saves about $50,000.
Foster says the House believes it can accomplish its goals in less time.
