Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Columbia Firefighters responded to a fire at the Lindau Chemical plant on the 700 block of Rosewood Drive in Columbia Saturday afternoon.
Fire officials say that the insulation around a tank containing a glue-like substance caught fire.
According to Columbia Fire Spokesman Brick Lewis, the fire was put out quickly and did not burn through the chemical tank.
Lewis says that there were no injuries and the community in the surrounding area is not in any danger.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
