Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Home Depot says they're adding a mix of 230 permanent and seasonal positions in the Columbia area.

The company said Tuesday they would add 50 permanent part-time employees at its Columbia distribution center. They'll also have 180 employees as seasonal associates local stores.

The company says in 2012, about half of their season hires transitioned into regular positions in the company.

The company says they'll have hiring events in the next few weeks which are by invitation only.  To apply online, go to Home Depot's career website. You'll then select "Distribution Center Hourly" in South Carolina for Columbia distribution center positions or "In-Store Hourly" in South Carolina for Columbia store associate positions. Then click "Go."

Previous experience is not required.
