Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia police say more than $10,000 of marijuana has been seized from a Columbia home.
Benjamin Thomas Doar, 26, has been charged with manufacturing marijuana, posession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana in close proximity to a school, according to Columbia Police.
Columbia Police Chief Randy Scott said that officers received consent to search a home and uncovered a single indoor marijuana grow operation with one mature plant with an estimated value of $5,000.
Officers also found marijuana in 15 one-ounce bags worth approximately $5,250 according to Chief Scott.
The seizure is a result of a Crimestoppers tip about drug activity near Garners Ferry Road.
