Horry County, SC (WLTX/WBTW) -- The weekend weather brought warm temperatures and lots of sunshine.

Unfortunately it also brought lots of wind which made for perfect conditions for fires across the state.

The South Carolina Forestry commission put the entire state on a Red flag Alert.

This is video from a large fire in Horry County that began Saturday.

The blaze at Windsor Green in Carolina Forest burned an estimated 110 homes and 26 apartment buildings as winds and low humidity fed the fire.

Fortunately there have been no human injuries reported but dozens have lost their homes and pets.

The Red Cross has provided shelter and more than 400 meals to those in need.

Myrtle Beach CBS affiliate WBTW reported the fire started Saturday afternoon, apparently as a brush fire, and as of Sunday morning some flames were still visible as firefighters continued to work on hot spots.

Horry County Fire and Rescue PIO Leslie Yancey reports to WBTW that one Horry County firefighter was treated for unspecified injuries, and that firefighter's status is currently unknown.

At this time the State Forestry Commission's website says any wildfires across the state or either contained or controlled.
