Elgin, SC (WLTX) --- USC baseball coach Chad Holbrook and his family have a vested interest in joining in the battle to stop pediatric cancer.
In 2004, Chad's son was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of two.
Reece Holbrook eventually beat the disease but not without countless hours receiving treatment.
Watching his son go through that ordeal was more than enough for Holbrook to throw his support towards hospitals geared toward the needs of children.
On Sunday, Holbrook held the Reece Holbrook Win Anyway Foundation auction, followed by a benefit golf tournament at Woodcreek Farms in Elgin.
Monday's event saw Holbrook moving from group to group, taking pictures and thanking them for their support.
One of the holes was sponsored by North Carolina basketball coach Roy Williams who was a colleague of Holbrook during Reece's battle with cancer.
