Columbia, SC (WLTX) - USC's Jadeveon Clowney and Bruce Ellington made the Coaches' All-SEC Preseason first team, SEC officials announced Thursday.
The announcement comes one week before the start of the season.
Clowney made the first-team defense, while Ellington made it as an all-purpose player.
Defensive lineman Kelcy Quarles make the second team defense, while offensive lineman A.J. Cann and tight end Rory Anderson made the second team offense.
Coaches also named Ellington to the third team as a return specialist.
In the selection process, coaches were not allowed to vote for players from their own team. Alabama dominated the list, with 16 players selected.
