Sumter, SC (WLTX)- The Sumter School District has reached an agreement with former superintendent Dr. Randolph D. Bynum.
Dr. Bynum had been the center of controversy in the district. He resigned last month. Previous Coverage: Sumter Superintendent ResignsThe district has agreed to pay him $182,070, which is equivalent to one year's salary. His resignation will become effective, Friday, August 30, 2013.
Dr. J. Frank Baker is the current acting superintendent.
