Elgin, SC (WLTX) --- In two weeks, Kyle Thompson will be heading overseas to compete in the European Tour Q-school where he hopes to earn his card on that circuit.
The former Gamecock will also play in some Web.com events as he continues to make his living playing golf professionally.
This week, Thompson is competing in the Woodcreek Classic which is part of the National Golf Association schedule.
Thompson says he decided to compete in the event at Woodcreek Farms to keep his game sharp for the trip overseas.
In his third round, Thompson began the round +5 through his first six holes. But he rallied to finish at 1-under par, to move to 10-under for the tournament.
The final round of the Woodcreek Classic is Sunday at Woodcreek Farms in Elgin.
