Richland County, SC (WLTX) -- Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is asking for assistance from the public in identifying suspects in a possible Attempted Murder.
Just after 10:30PM on Thursday, August 29th, Richland County Deputies responded to call of shots fired at the BP Gas Station located at 8000 Garners Ferry Road in Richland County.
Upon arrival, Deputies discovered one victim that had been shot in the upper body, who was then transported to an area hospital for treatment of that non-life threatening wound.
Deputies report that the victim was disposing of trash behind the business when he was approached by at least four men, one of whom drew a gun and fired, striking the victim as he attempted to reenter the store.
Deputies acquired the surveillance video recordings from the store, and are asking for the public's help in identifying the individual visible in the video, along with the burgundy Honda Accord.
The Sheriff's Department believes another vehicle was also in the area, possibly a gold colored Toyota Corolla, and the occupants of that car might have information vital to the investigation.
