COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A professor at the University of South Carolina and a meteorologist are speaking this week at a conference on sustainability.
Andrew Spicer is an associate professor of international business at the university's business school. He is set to give a keynote address on Wal-Mart's sustainability strategies at the Green is Good for Business Conference on Tuesday at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
WLTX-TV meteorologist Jim Gandy is also speaking at the meeting. Organizers say he is talking about "The Business of Climate Change."
This is the seventh year the conference has taken place. It's supposed to show how businesses can become more sustainable and save or make money at the same time.
